On a local TV station, I watched a correspondent say:
"The state government has warned herdsmen to tame their cattles."
Excuse me, who says the word "cattle" can take on an 's', as if it is a countable noun?
Sorry, "cattle" is "always "cattle" and it is a non-count noun that must not take on an 's' in any case whatsoever.
I repeat, never you add 's' to the word "cattle".
Is that clear enough?
Yes sir
