"The man was shot on the leg because he refused to cooperate with a policeman who demanded for bribe."
That is what I just read, and what do you see wrong about that?
Two major blunders, of course!
1. You don't shoot "on" the leg; rather, you shoot IN....
2. You don't "demand for", you simply "demand".
Then, the expression should have been:
"The man was shot IN the leg because he refused to cooperate with a policeman who demanded bribe."
